This is absolutely stunning! In fact, I think it's the most beautiful and stylish custom mural I have ever seen. And if Neal's son gets tired of it jn a few years, convert it into an Airbnb unit, because I want to sleep and play in that bedroom too!
The cat part of the mural is great. The rest, not as realistic or as pretty. Hummingbirds are beautiful and delicate, they don't look like huge monstrosities. The bed, pillows...don't really look like a 6 year old's bed. Too modern, square edges.
Tooky58 - With a mural this time consuming (and probably expensive), it would make sense to sell the house and let someone else who loves it live with it. I am contemplating a mural or two in the house we are building in Portugal. We will stay till they cart us out. When we're gone, it matters not who does what. While I breathe, the murals stay!
Are those wire animal heads custom as well? Really like those. Try as I might I don't see a hummingbird in there. Maybe if it were supposed to be a somewhat threatening hummingbird superhero? (Bit of an oxymoron however.) They are such delicate birds with an incredibly long, thin and arched beak.

I like the street art vibe in this mural. I wonder if the little boy likes it too, if he was involved in the choice beyond the theme or if the artist was given free rein and the mural was a surprise.
Am currently reading Bleak House for the third time, I think Dickens would be amazed and happy with your naming yours after his room. I find it very inspiring!

This mural is gorgeous! The whole room looks fab! I did a simple raindrop mural in my daughters bathroom several years ago. I'm getting a little tired of it and may want to try something a little more intricate. How wonderful to have a parent who nourishes artistic appreciation and brings such color into the life of a lucky 6 yr. old.

This is a fabulous mural. I could see this in a play or activity room, not a bedroom....it is way too stimulating visually.
