Wheel faucet handles and some of the others shown here seem as if they would be a magnet for crud. Single lever all the way.

Tell me when a bathtub with an embedded heat element is invented. I like my bath water warm…and I want it warm long enough to merit using so much water.
Our current house has three “bathrooms” but not a single bathtub. A shower uses less water. You wash and rinse yourself almost simultaneously, and you are finished in less time than it takes to fill a bathtub to the soaking level.

felizlady, they make those tubs now. I put one in my home in 2010 (from MTI). Loved my tub and the inline heater!

Do you have advise for homeowners looking to update their kitchen but don’t know what colors work best? For instance backsplash faucets and drawer pulls?

Margaret, when I was planning our remodel, I looked at the Houzz kitchens for inspiration. I also went to the big box stores and brought home all of the cabinetry brochures and cut out pictures of what I liked and pasted them to a large piece of poster board. Besides the styles and colors, I added the cabinet features like a pop up outlet on my peninsula, a narrow pull out drawer with integrated knife storage, USB ports and outlets in a cabinet for charging tablets and other devices, large drawers for cookware, etc. By the time I went to the cabinet shop to work with the architect, I was pretty confident in my choices and he was able to pull things together based on my inspiration board. Enjoy designing your new space!
