Three Storey Flower bed
Comments (15)That's a very good idea Christy, I actually have two white roses that are climbers but I will probably have to improvise on the trellis (link on an idea of DIY that would allow me to paint the frame purple as the edge of the flower beds http://houzz.com/s/m=7/u=L3Bob3Rvcy8yNjIwMjcz). Thank you Christy, really helpful advice!...See MoreFront garden beds and improving street appeal.
Comments (16)Hi nick. Thanks. Yes, i have come to that realisation after being told it by everyone i speak to! So looking at hedging or other ideas for the side fences then shrubs / plants / flowers for the main parts. I'd be interested innyour ideas. On the other side if the fence, if you mean the road side, the footpath is right up against the fence. I'd say the footpath is maybe 1.5m wide, maybe a bit more....See MoreGarden help
Comments (25)Hi lots of different options and ideas going on. I had a similar wall and understand how mean it can be to little ones. I bought and put up the expanding wood trellis. This instantly covered the area at a very reasonable price. I then planted quick growing climbing plants. I'm not a great gardener so I cant remember what i had but ask at the garden centre they will advise you. But at least you have a barrier in place to minimize accidents....See MoreHelp please
Comments (1)A level patio area is always a good idea in a garden for somewhere to put table and chairs on. A practical path to the shed is especially useful when the grass is wet, it stops too much mud being trampled inside. Big pots on the patio filled with flowers or herbs would be a nice touch. They need to be big so the kids can't knock over them easily. Toysrus sell these rubber garden mats to put under play equipment. It has holes in them so the grass can grow through and it stops the kids turning the bit under the swing into a muddy pit. I have them at them around my kids' slide too. Our garden only had a 3 foot chain link fence around it, so I had a 6 foot wooden one put in front of it to stop the kids escaping.(this was because the neighbours owned 2 of the fences.)...See MoreDom design
