Do test out some creams for compatibility with the beautiful cabinets. Keep the green an accent for accessories. JMO.

I would find a neutral tone that is in the stone. It looks like there is a wide range from light creams to darks to suit any taste. Personally, I'm not a fan of cool grays so I would look for warmer tones in the stone. If you plan to leave the oriental rug, I would take it into account when choosing. As an option, you could pull a color out of the rug. It is always good to test color swatches on the wall (a sizable swatch) to see what the paint color does at different times of day. You will also have to make a decision about the sheen of the paint (matte - semi gloss). I find walls with texture (the photo looks like your's might be textured) do better with a matte finish - other than that it becomes personal preference. One nice thing about paint is that it is just paint. If you paint it and don't like it, you can always change it without much effort or cost. Do give a new color a chance to grow on you. Sometimes change is jarring and we make a snap judgement without getting to know the change :)

I recently bought a house that has a stacked stone wall behind a pellet stove. The wall has half vaulted ceilings and the first five feet is 6 ft wide then it narrows to 42 inches wide, sort of a chimney effect. I don’t think 🤔 can remove the wider bottom without pulling off the good stone and to add stone the eye would see the piecing. I send a picture?im painting the room a Kinda grayge but I still need some thing to distract the eye from the chimney shape. I thought of planking the sides with barn siding . Please any suggestions

Hello there Houzz community! I am an interior decorator and creative consultant, and I am currently working with a client to build out her dream 18th century french inspired home (based in Brooklyn). In one of the bedrooms, she is envisioning a tent-style installation with draped walls and tented ceiling (see references attached above). My question is, does anyone have any recommendations on what type of vendor would be best for this job? Right now I am finding a mix of people that do drapes, and people that do event-centered draping for weddings and such. A Tri-state are recommendation would be fabulous, but even just some ideas on the types of companies that do this work would be great. Thank you so much! ~ Jendalyn
