Need help updating bathroom
Comments (21)My understanding: You didn't find any problem functionally, but you feel this looks old & need some brightness & change in this. My advise: 1). Remove towel rod, shift it next to tub or behind closet & have full length mirror, which will make your space double & reflect natural light as well thus makes the space more bright. 2). Get couple of plants (small plants or bush type or creepers which doesn't occupy much space on floor but grows vertically). 3). Get some artifacts made from bright colored glass, can flower vase or wall hangings or glass tiles etc, these can be of yellow or Bright Orange color these are to be hung on walls opp to mirror or pasted(3M tape both side glued) if you are using tiles. 4). Get a mat of same color as artifacts & place between tub & closet. these all are easily done by yourself. OR if you can afford to then replace only green tiles & floor tiles if you wish to OR all tiles....See MoreBathroom
Comments (5)You have a lot of space here. Instead of the pedestal sink, look for a nice vanity. You can change the mirror to something larger and more modern. As for the lights, you could have sconces or two pendants on each side of the mirror. I am assuming that the tile stays. Otherwise, you can pick any tile....See MoreBathroom vanity unit too small for space
Comments (5)If it was me, I would centre it and only silicone the back. I understand your concerns about water going down the side. Realistically, though, as you will only be washing your hands and maybe teeth in it, there is unlikely to be much water gushing about. To detract from the fact there is not as much space on either side of sink, I would have carpenter either wall mount or put legs on the cabinet so there is space underneath and the unit doesn't look too chunky!...See MoreFront of house bathroom
Comments (0)Hi, We are soon to start a renovation project. We are happy with most of the plans. However, the bathroom will now be at the front of the house and we are struggling to visualize what it will look like. I have attached a sketch of the before and after and one of the side part of the extension. We just feel the window will look small and may look off-balance with the rest of the house. Does anyone have suggestions or examples of bathrooms at the front of a semi-detached home? Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks! Sinead...See More- 12 years ago
