Need help designing my bedroom
Comments (8)Thanks Chemayne, yes, that is correct re: position of the bed. There is a small bedroom behind where the bed is currently and ultimately i'd like to turn it into a walk in robe. That's funny, i never considered the grey bed to be masculine, although my mum didn't like it so maybe that should have been a clue! I keep coming back to it though, but not too sure if it is too low for the room. Unfortunatley there doesn't seem to be many grey beds around to compare it with. As for those pictures, thank you. However i don't think any of them are my taste. They are all a bit busy i think. I like the white trim which i am going to get done. I think from these i'm leaing towards Ighter coloured walls as well. I think the blue walls on number 1 is a bit much and no:4 with different curtains would be okish too....See MoreNeed help with ideas for ensuite / walk in closet and bedroom

Comments (1)Congratulations on the new digs! :-) Pick your bedding first. From the bedding, pick a light neutral for the walls to play off the dark wood. You can have paint mixed to exactly match! Then, use another color in the bedding, if present, as your accent color. Usually, the best mix is 60% the main color, 30% the secondary color, and 10% a pop of a 3rd color. In the bath, look for a shower curtain in your wall color and towels in it and your secondary colors. Good luck!...See MoreGuest bedroom decor advice needed
Comments (3)As the rest of your house is decorated in muted colours with the exception of the bathroom), I would stick with that. Duck egg/pale blues and pale greens or chalky pink would be very restful for bedrooms. Or navy blue looks smart with a neutral scheme....See Moreerinsean
