I know it's not what you want to hear but if you are planning to replace the table too or even move the whole dining setup by demolishing the conservatory then I would hold off for now on the chair replacement. It's really hard to hold off I know, I had brown leather chairs in that style for years and I ended up absolutely hating them. If you must do it then try and choose chairs that could be used for another purpose later on if you change your mind like a desk chair, occasional chair or extra seating when required and stored away somewhere. Since it's a conservatory have you considered a beautiful cane and iron chair style that could be used outside when required? Something like this maybe?

Thanks so much Isla! We moved into the new house about three months ago, and I’ve been putting off buying new chairs while we figure out whether we want to update the conservatory. But realistically, we do need more seating, as we often have people over, and the four chairs we have now just aren’t enough. The conservatory will probably stay as it is until next summer, possibly even longer. And yes, I really don't like our current chairs though I do like their contrasting colours. I had been considering getting a grey bench, or as you suggested, a couple of cane chairs, but I’m not sure if they’d clash too much with the existing furniture...

Whatever you pick, be careful that the height of the table and the chairs match as it’s so uncomfortable if they do not align. I bought a Neptune table and chairs a long time ago and the chairs are a fraction too low for the table. I’ve added cushions to resolve but for such a significant investment I was so cross!

Emma, if you order online, don’t forget you have the right to return any that aren’t right as you are buying unseen. It’s your statutory right. I bought some garden chairs from Wayfair and they were so uncomfortable I sent them back and got a refund. It all went very smoothly and they have excellent customer service.
