So I am thinking of fitting a recessed curtain pole in each of these windows, and then hanging one curtain in each tied back nicely …. as I cannot think of any other way, because there is no wall space to the left of the left-hand window … I’d be grateful for any alternative ideas …
I think it would block a lot of light. Sorry not the best pictures but you could layer up.
Keep the venetians and add a roman or roller plus roman or just shutters or even add a pelmet.
What do you not like about the existing?
i recently added relaxed roman blinds (last pic but not mine) to a couple of rooms, they’re not great for daily use but i suspect they could be layered effectively if you’re wanting a softer look
I still think you need Roman blinds outside the window recess. Fit them close to the ceiling and visually they will l lend height to the room (so they serve a decorative purple pose only). Then you need something inside the recess to block out the light such as your current blinds, plantation shutters or a roller blind.
