how to layout art on the wall?

Hello, it has taken us some time to buy artwork for our wall which has a sloping ceiling triangle shaped. I am having trouble deciding how to place the two pieces, maybe I should place just one… your advice will be precious!
In the picture you can see the painting that has been there hanging so far, and to the right my new acquisition, on the sofa for now.

I would leave the one in the centre and place the other central to the remaining wall lining up the bottom of the two as the existing one is a good height.

Look for a local art hanger. Most galleries can refer you to one or Google it. Some designers do this too. A professional hanger will have the best solution. I always use a professional to hang special pieces or collector value art. The service is not particularly expensive and so worth it. Saves on holes in the wall too!

Hi. I’m wondering can anyone suggest a layout for this room as I’m a bit flummoxed. I was thinking of giving over 2/3 to the living area and 1/3 to the dining (as is). The fireplace is wood burning so the tv can’t be placed over it. How can achieve balance in this room without having my tv as a focal point. Any help would be appreciated. Which wall should I put the TV on? I have it against the longest wall but that feels very boxy as I can see no windows. But if I put it against the shortest wall it could leave it feeling more narrow. How can I balance out the room. Forgive the mess and concrete floors!

I would do the opposite, it’s too cliche. I would place the current painting further more towards the slanting ceiling & place the larger one next to it, asymmetrically. Some examples of this version is below.
