Hi everyone, I think I have settled on an engineered wood floor for our hallway.....but now I'm stumped again. Should we float or direct fix the wooden floor? I'm confused by the whole process.
I bought a house with floating floors and hated them. My mum also has them and again they are awful, you can feel the movement. I have engineered flooring whcih is bonded to concrete floors and they feel solid.
But I don't have concrete floors to begin with. My house has suspended floors so the ground floor is original wood floorboards. As much as I like them there is no insulation so I will be replacing them and laying ply over the top. So not sure if it matters which option I go for
