Hi. We are about to start renovating our whole house. Unfortunately we had underestimated how much the build costs would be so our budget for the kitchen has been squeezed and we can no longer get the bespoke handmade kitchen we had originally planned! Does anyone know how 1909 or aisling kitchens compare? Are they good quality and built to last (as the prices we’ve been quoted suggest!) Can they be repainted in years to come to update them? Thanks
luflo - I am actually going to their showroom on Thursday! However their half price sale ends on Thursday so I would have to decide on the spot if we want to go with them!
That's so strange! I think they have a lot of sales throughout the year though. Let me know what they are like in reality as we are going to visit in the summer.
Yes will do! I know they had a sale on in March so maybe they do have them regularly throughout the year. They are already booking into November so bear that in mind if you do want to go with them.
Have you considered finding a local joiner or cabinet maker? You are likely to be able to get a bespoke product at a reasonable price.
Yes I have but unfortunately it was more expensive. Our builder is suggesting Howdens to keep costs down but we are hoping for something a bit more higher end and long lasting.

@luflo Yes I did. I really liked their kitchens and they are a very good price in the half price sale. I need to work out how much the appliances would be plus the worktop, painting and fitting and then I will be able to compare fully. They are a definite contender!
