Comments (32)Hmm... since the B&B is red too, wouldn't it be confusing? Because I thought that the foxfire would be a useful colour for giving directions: 'look for the large red building'. And then all your guests end up on the doorstep of the B&B. Mind you, it will work the other way around too ;-) I love that warm red colour with the grey roof....See MoreHi there , looking at house with north east facing garden, has anyone

Comments (25)It's interesting, but we inherited a sofa and companion chair with the same sweep of the arms, but a lot of intentionally fanned pleats - all done in a deep peach fabric- almost salmon. I was moving into a larger home and needed the pieces, probably 1930s vintage with squatted round wooden feet/legs, each on a caster. I didn't like the color however, so chose to have it reupholstered. That, rather than be forced to work with it. I still love it today. So there's another option, though a little pricey. I agree with Decoenthusiast about the vintage of your sofa. It's not very old, and style is transitional. So it can, just like my delightfully interesting Christmas dinner guest (thanks Lenny), 'go either way' ;).....See MoreExterior remodelling of a 1970's house, Creative Advice Needed!!!

If you like sash windows why not look at the attached or maybe consider a New England style houses as sashes were common? Is the ground floor of the house wide enough to take a door and 2 windows?...See MoreRichard L
