These were client-supplied lights, a hidden treasure found at Home Sense! Our designer mentioned that you might check Multi-Luminaire as they have similar styles available for under $100.

Hello, there are plenty of examples with 3 pendant lights with chairs lining up underneath. I think it looks quite professional. You can always personalize the kitchen that commercial spaces cannot do.

Tough question! I'd think about, first, consulting with a lighting design professional before going ahead. There might be a way to run an insulated sleeve from the source point, through the insulation and the sheetrock. Another possibility might be to "gang" or bundle the lights. This would not eliminate the need to open the insulation up but it would cut down on the number of openings you'd need. Finally, if there's no other alternatives for you, use LED surface mounted fixtures. There are a huge range of designs which could work for you.

I am putting in a new kitchen in a large open plan room. I wI'll have an island that is 2.4 X 1.1 and will be moles breath colour from farrow and ball and a grey quartz worktop. I would love some advice on finalizing a choice for island pendant lighting. My kitchen has 8 foot ceilings and the island will be 4'x6'. My husband is 6'1" so I want to make sure lighting isn't too low for his sight line but also to not have fixture too tall that it looks strange hugging the ceiling too closely. I like the seeded glass look and brushed nickel finish as it will coordinate with the glass front cabinet in wet bar area. I also prefer rod vs. chain or cord hanger. This light is 12.5" wide x 11.25" high. Would have a little longer drop from ceiling. I think I would do 2 instead of 3?? This light is 10.5" wide x 15.75" high. It would only have a 6" drop from ceiling so don't know if that is too big and too close to ceiling. Maybe do just 2 or possibly 3?? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
