how to redesign space in a small flat
Hi everyone,
can anybody help me in figuring out how to restructure my small flat? I'd like to use the space (around 50sqm) in a different way i.e. have a smaller kitchen and access the bathroom independently from the bedroom. A big thanks to anyone wanting to give an opinion!

Comments (11)I still love cabinets or repurposed furniture, armoire, etc. that match the space to keep the tv out of sight and not the center focus; but if you don't like cabinets, how about a bookcase with a shelf large enough for the tv; with other items, books, etc. on the shelves, the tv is not the focal point. Comments (10)Thanks for the feedback, we had something similar in mind. Would you suggest bringing the door out to the front? What about the windows either side, we would think about replacing maybe in a different colour, possibly grey, and add some cedar cladding to the house front and paint walls grey. We are also toying with the idea of bring double doors out to the front with arclight over head and then to add coving around the windows with arc that mirrors the arc light to try and soften the whole angular look to to the front. Comments (74)Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. 4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoIt’s usually better to have the bathroom near the bedroom rather then kitchen. But of course if it’s not possible to move the kitchen all the way on the other side of the apartment l then you can make pinch a bit of space front the bedroom for an access to the bathroom and look into removing that closet space and make a opening in that wall and create a semi open plan with the living room.
