The challenge of a long and narrow living room!
Comments (4)It seems to me that the room can be divided into three distinct areas. TV area where the TV is now, office area by placing a nice desk and a chair along the window at the other end. And another sitting area across from the fireplace by using two love seats or two comfortable chairs perpendicular to the fireplace with a coffee table in the middle. Provided that the dimensions allow for that....See MoreNeed help with TV placement and decor ideas for compact living room
Comments (2)I think the only place you could put a tv is probably the corner by the window...over the fireplace is probably too high. a walnut floor and new fresher paint colour would be lovely, would you consider painting the skirting boards and fireplace white or off white to modernise them a bit? we've painted the skirting in our living room (also a walnut floor) and it looks so much better than before. Comments (0)Hello everyone, I am going to furnish my first apartment and I have doubts where to put sofa TV table and chairs... I am aware the way they furnished it doesn't maximise the space - I will probably put just one corner sofa. Can you kindly recommend me how can I maximise the space? I am gonna buy all the staffs so I can also change position etc etc. Where it's better to put the TV? Thanks in advance, Marco...See MoreLiving room decorating help
Comments (3)Difficult to say without knowing the style of your furniture you have/like. One thing I noticed, is that the previous owners did have the curtains just above the window frame. It looks better if you hang them closer to the ceiling. Makes the ceiling appear higher. Also, if you are going for curtains too, have the rods wide enough to be able to have the curtains next to the windows instead of in front of them, when open. I'd advise you to create one or more ideabooks here on Houzz, so we can see what style you like....See Moreeugene_cook
