Dining table help
Hi,
i have been given this table. I’m not really into the country/shabby look I’m more into the elecetic/boho look so unsure how to go about making it look nice and buying new chairs for it (the chairs in picture are on loan from in laws!)

Comments (0)We are building a vacation home which is open concept. The dining table area back wall is 10'7" wide. When facing the dining area there is a half side wall that comes out which is approx 6' that opens to the the living area and another small wall approximately 3' that juts out on the right side. I'm in the process of buying a dining table and want to make sure that there's enough room for chairs to be pushed in and out and access to the back of the table. 6 years agoAs suggested already, painting it will be a great improvement. Those round pedestal tables do have a country vibe but this can be changed with painting It a colour to fit in with your decor. Here’s some ideas:

PRO6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoI think the trick is to add the chairs that are completely different style: industrial or midcentury etc. And you can go away without painting it. Focus on chairs:

If you decide to pain the table go for white or black it will draw attention off the country feel. There is great group on Facebook called the World of Chalk Paint, Distress and Decoupage https://www.facebook.com/groups/Chalkpaint101/?ref=share . You can ask people to show their painted tables.

Definitely sand/paint. If you fancy it, you can also add some stenciled patterns. Upholster the chairs if you can with vibrant fabrics. That will definitely bring it to life!
