I'd me most concerned about the moisture barrier on a basement floor. If you're not running a dehumidifier down there often, carpet could start smelling musty. I might do tile or something completely impervious to moisture rather than LVP or carpet. LVP won't be ruined by moisture, but it could buckle. You'll want a moisture barrier if you went with tile, too, maybe an uncoupling layer like Ditra that is also moisture-proof.
