Hi, I think any of those 3 could look good, with white elsewhere as a contrast and bringing in some bright warm colours with cushions, throws etc. We repainted our house last year and used Farrow and Ball colours - Elephants Breath is very popular and looks great in our living room, we used their darker greys in our sitting room and hall. You can get Dulux to mix FandB colours so it works out cheaper if you like. I was afraid of it being cold or dark but love it!

Lovely room. I think spots would work although I do love a light fitting over a table. If it's an are where you read etc there may not be enough light there if you do decide to go with the light fitting so you may need a couple of spots also

Suggestions on the kitchen/living/dining room lighting plan

Hi all, I have designed my lighting and electric plan for a new build this way. I've never done it before and am afraid I will miss something. Please give any comments or suggestions you might have. Kitchen has 2 pendants (A and B on plan) over an island and lighting under the top cabinets. Am wondering if I may need also some discreet light from the top as well. The top cabinets might miss some light I think. Living room has one pendant over coffee table (C) and a discreet light (D) over the TV cabinet. Dining room has 2 pendant lights (E and F).
