Blinds for large windows

I have a 1960s house with large windows and I'm looking for advice on the type of blinds that would best suit them. All of the windows are large but the two main living/dining room windows are 3m X 1.8m and 2.3m X 1.8m. They each have three openings to the side. As the windows face on to a road, I'd like to keep privacy. I don't want people walking by looking in but I would like to be able to see out, if possible. Any advice or opinions are very much appreciated.

There are a number of other companies including bottomupblinds.co.uk. I think the sheer voiles look good but I can't find a supplier! Hopefully this will give the post a bump and a pro may know where to source if you're interested in voiles

I agree, blinds, they are large windows so that is a lot of material / expense if you go down the curtain route, plus curtains may block out light. We have sliding doors like yours and have chosen to keep them free of any covering, however we are not overlooked. You might also want to consider translucent / sheer roller blinds which offer moderate privacy yet still retain a degree of visibility. We have them on our front windows for privacy as we are in a single storey house / bungalow, people can't see in (during the day) but we can see out. We also have curtains with them in the sitting room as we wanted it to be more cosy / private at night. In the other rooms we have another blind that sits over the sheer blinds, but this wouldn't work for all windows.

Hey Oldholly, Are you changing the glass to clear or keeping them frosted? If you are keeping them frosted, would you consider aluminium venetians? You can add a bit of colour if desired but with them, you can also allow light in while covering up the frosted glass. If you are changing the glass, you could consider roller blinds or roman blinds both adding a touch of class if the right fabrics are selected. Hi all, We are trying to get blinds for our house, I like the dark brown wood effect ones but everyone is saying it would make the room very dark. But I don't know, and I like dark but don't want to go overboard either. The kitchen cabinets are black/dark grey. Also, would white or cream blinds not look odd with brown Windows? Any advice much appreciated, pic of the kitchen attached. Thanks! Pauline
