Love the pond! is it manmade or natural?

I read where you are skimming the water but then read where it flows on to the neighbors? Is this a manmade closed system or does it have inlet and exit? If so what kind of flow? I am contemplating something similar. Is there someone I can contact to discuss?

    Thanks for the compliment and questions. The skimmer is primarily to regulate water levels and filtration. The outlet where it flows out onto the neighbors was an already existing overflow channel that we stabilized and continued to use.
