I completely agree with Rukmini's comments above. I would also check the drop of this pendant to make sure that it doesn't hang too low or too high. If the scale works well then go for it. A home should reflect your personality and be full of everything that you love.

Hi, it's a gorgeous pendant and will be a real statement piece as already mentioned by everyone. If you will use your dining table for functional things like work or kids doing homework, you could add some additional small aperture adjustable downlights either side of the pendant to provide extra light when you need it. You could have these on a different dimmer switch and then you can turn them off or down when having a dinner party! I would love to see the pics of it installed!

You can also consider a spider light and bunch then together like the above but you willl then get flexibility on having different heights and adding different fittings/bulbs/shades when you get bored of it ;0)
