Agree with everything Vikrant Sharma Homez said. My input: - An alternative needs to be found for the hulking bookshelf. - Take extra time and care to choose appropriately-sized furniture for the room. - Consider a roman shade or roman shades for the window seat windows. - Remove sheers - Improve lighting. Can you get recessed installed? - Edit accessories and choose only those which provide a lot of impact. A bunch of little things just looks like clutter. I like to do the following exercise. Go around the room and touch every single thing in the room one time. Think about each item you touch. Then, after you've finished, ask yourself what you can remove. Remove those items. It seems weird, but it's a great way to ensure that you clear clutter. - Incorporate some living things in the room (plants & flowers)

I would paint the room white and wall behind bed the same color pink that is in chair and then add prints above headboard and a large piece of art on wall on the right. Change pillows on chair and bed to modern and vibrant colors in grey/pink and yellow and add a coverlette to bottom. Purchase larger lamp for table on right and remove lamp from left side of bed and place a tray and some books on the ottoman. Move carpet to beside the bed. White roman blinds and painting the door white would be a good idea and just ask at paint store what needs to be done to prime, etc. Adding a fun chandelier is also an idea. Thanks a mil! That's the thing about new colour. It does take some getting used to. However I had my babies room, a spare room and the inside of my front door painted at the same time last week and love all of the colours chosen but this one I just can't look at. It turned out to be more of a minty green than the colour samples on the wall. One of the fabrics below are being make up in a footstool and I think it may be overkill with too much colour. I wanted the coushions and footstool to pop as those are the things you spend the most amount of money on rather than the paint. In saying that. The cost of the paint was expensive and also paying someone to do it. Now to do it all over again is not ideal.:(. i took the cushions and fabric into one of my other rooms to see what it looked like against a more neutral background and felt it looked a little better. See pics below. Any other paint suggestions are much appreciated.
