Help deciding kitchen layout
We have two different designs from two design sessions and I need help choosing. I have settled in dark blue kitchen cabinet colour. The main difference is the fridge whether to have it in the corner of but the external door. There will be a utility room in to the right of the kitchen. Thoughts?

Help, trying to decide whether to enclose a staircase
Comments (3)thanks both & sorry for not getting back sooner. Appreciate it! unfortunately, while lovely, glass panels are going to be too expensive as is upgrading the doors/walls upstairs (realistically we would have to take down all the upstairs walls and start again to make any difference). But thanks. Obviously if we do enclose it will use a glazed door at the base (the rules about the size of landing you need don't seem to be too strict here in Ireland - must have 40 cm from the base step completely free) so we are thinking door at the base of the stairs opening towards the front door. My sister in law however suggests using the entire width between the front door and the stairs as storage, fairly similar to now, but with a door opening out into the kitchen. still thinking. thanks again for your input anyway....See MoreKitchen cabinet layout - need help deciding!

There is space on the wall behind the island for for: - Boiler (needs to stay in far left corner) - Fridge - Oven / Microwave - Pull-Out Larder The latest design has them in the order as above (left to right). Comments (3)Hi im looking to get a new sofa for my living room . I currently have an L shape but and not happy with it . There is only one really wall which I think it can be placed and its infront of my window which I think is blocking light ? And is against curtains . I'm thinking of also get roman curtain blinds in a pelmet box to avoid that ? I'm looking for any advice or inspiration I don't mind changing the style decor of the room ? Thank you all for your responses! You raised such great points! Went back to the drawing board with this one and designed something else myself. Got rid of the American style fridge and replaced with integrated (the black unit to the right), added oven and microwave unit beside the fridge and moved the hob.
