Absorb sound

I need an area rug that will help with noise in a kitchen on a second floor apartment. It sits above a bedroom on the first floor. It is in a beach house. Not sure if jute is a good option, or a more plush carpet.

    Hi, thanks for the question. Although we're not specialists in sound absorption, jute is a very heavy and dense material and will likely aid well in that process. Hope this helps and good luck on your search!
