Advice sought on heat proofing indoor front porch

I know its difficult to see but the front door is to the left. The inside door leads into an under-used large hallway with a sofa in it. I would like to use this room more but it is cold so I wonder has anyone any tips on how to make the porch look good but keep out some of the draught!?

    Well, there is the obvious, insulated draperies. Have you considered putting heat in the floor?

    No, not thought about that actually. I am thinking of curtains/drapes but worried they would mould or look a bit naff from the outside
