Please advise: we are in Upstate NY and beginning the process of a kitchen remodel and we love the look of the brick. any advice on where to find this look so it looks genuine and awesome, not cheap and glued on? Much success to you in the new year and thank you for reading.
Check out website for “Brick It”, they are in Suffolk county on Long Island. I’m sure there’s someplace like it upstate? We were given sample boards with multiple bricks on them to bring home and scrutinize the various colors they have. Keep in mind, bricks are not cookie cutter and have different colors and are individually different. Think of leaves on a tree, no 2 are the same. My contractor and I worked together on this. I laid out each brick and placed each one where I thought it worked best. My contractor installed the brick veneer on the metal grids and piped real mortar between the bricks. I followed and “scraped” the mortar roughly to give it a look that it was an original to the house. I’m very hands on.
