marks on newly painted walls

Dear all


We just had the whole house painted in brand new colours, using Dulux matt paints. Unfortunately now marks have been made which stick out like a sore thumb by the movers. I tried to use an eraser which has removed the dirt but left smudge marks :( I did not know about the magic eraser at the time.

We just paid a lot of money for the walls to be painted and it's a shame to have them repainted over this. Any advice to remove the smudges would be really helpful to try in the meantime. Thank you
