Banquette seating

Hi
I'm looking to design in banquette seating into a corner of my small extension but I only have 1.5m x 2.5m available. Could you tell me the overall dims of the seating shown here:

In a kitchen, with built-in seat backs and a table to eat at, it is called a banquette. Otherwise just a window seat.

I understand what you want to do, so here's my suggestion, if it fits.....I'd move the couch under the mirror. Move table to the center of the kitchen, like an island. Sounds like it's two adults and two toddlers, so I'd definitely remove two of those chairs. Are your kids in high-chairs, if so move the other two chairs out too. Basically you want four chairs not six. Move them to a garage, basement or another room. Put the chairs around two or three sides of the table. I'd leave the side near the stove and washing machine(?) open. TV would mount to the right of the back door. See if that would work. Either way, it's going to be a tight space. Post pics please.

What you your options are depends upon what you want to have when you're done: whether you want to keep a nook of some kind for your table and chairs or just use a formal dining room you also have; whether your budget and inclination is to add a room or enlarge a room; what room has the other two windows and/or door or patio doors -- right wing of the house; whether you wish to create an open floor plan and connect what is now the breakfast nook with the room with the window beside the pimple and the door or patio doors; whether you want to lose the window that looks out at the pimple. You'll want to take into consideration what effect what you do will have on your ability to position your table and chairs in the breakfast nook centered beneath that really niece light fixture above it. You might consider extending the roof line of the right wing of the house where the window and door(s) overlook the pimple so you could bump out that wall to a point beyond the left / far wall of the pimple and connect the two rooms. You could use a shed roof, possibly even using glass roofing and, in lieu of windows, add patio doors to that wall.

I think I would have one set off steps down and move the dividing presses to the side where your sink is, making it a peninsula. That would make for a nice L shaped banquette seating area where your blank wall is, and the gallery backdrop would be great there. You could also have a nice long table as opposed to the small square one. I also hope you don't mind me saying that I think you need to reconsider the placement of your hob. It's right beside a door which will be awkward and you have your back to the room when entertaining. You will have such a nice kitchen that you should make the most of it for entertaining. Even you consider putting it on the island facing the dining area?
