It looks like the stone is grey, tans and creams, and is laid with a technique called dry stacking and the mortar is not visible. It may be natural stone or cultured. If it is natural, it might be sandstone. Natural stone has naturally more variety in color, texture and shape, but cultured is easier to lay, usually doesn't require footings.
