Exterior House Help Required
Comments (3)Hello Cork2015, Looking like a very tidy home... I like the black on brick and its lovely to have a difference in texture that the brick offers, rather than all render which would not be as appealing I feel.....What about considering painting the window sill on the ground level black, this will blend nicely with the sliding doors.. The eye is not drawn to it either... Then you might want to add some plants in large pots... 2 square metal planters with something nice in could be lovely either side of the sliding doors.. possibly two pots under the window too... They work in a variety of settings not just period homes.. Have a look at these ideas.. : )) A line along the aggregate could be lovely... 2 more either side of the sliding doors and two under the window... Lovely and easy! 2 either side of the front door down the side... (if less light they could be artificial there)...See MoreNEED help with my exterior colors and siding
Comments (6)Do not paint the brick!! It's part of the homes appeal and its style. Change up the stucco color to a warm gray as well as paint the fascia boards a more appealing color also (deeper charcoal or similar) a grayed green would be another option for the stucco. As long it all works with both the roof shingle and the brick these are colors worth looking at. Another option for just the gable end would be cement board shingle (Hardieboard or similar) if you want a change from stucco....See MoreNeed Help With Exterior
Comments (0)Hi we need major curb appeal help! We are able to change the siding, we can paint and change the eaves or gutters, the windows have to stay in place but we can change the style or add grills etc... The roof stays (Timberlane Shakewood color) and our door is going to be moved. We purchased a 6 lite craftsman door. It will go where there is an existing window and will face the driveway and street. We do a lot of gardening so we were thinking of a cottage or bungalow look. We like the look of cedar shake siding and we also think a pergola in the front would help break up the space but would love any drawings or advice to help us visualize a changed look....See MoreNeed help for exterior re-vamp please!
Comments (0)Hello everyone, First time poster here - heard great reviews of the advice on this site! So here goes - My house is overdue a total exterior re-paint. I'm quite happy with the white - not so sure about the grey trim and 100% want to change the colour of the door that is a drab dark brown at the minute. The window frames can not be painted as they are PVC. I'm liking the idea of a Juniper / aubergine coloured door? But what to colour the wooden sides and trim around the door? Would really appreciate your advice - i'm based in the west of Ireland so lots of rain and green! I've attached a photo - hope the quality is sufficient... Thanks in advance, Yvonne...See Morecc0412
