Help with Kitchen/Dining area layout - new build
Comments (1)I think I would have one set off steps down and move the dividing presses to the side where your sink is, making it a peninsula. That would make for a nice L shaped banquette seating area where your blank wall is, and the gallery backdrop would be great there. You could also have a nice long table as opposed to the small square one. I also hope you don't mind me saying that I think you need to reconsider the placement of your hob. It's right beside a door which will be awkward and you have your back to the room when entertaining. You will have such a nice kitchen that you should make the most of it for entertaining. Even you consider putting it on the island facing the dining area?...See MoreA new build foundations in we need another view on first floor layout
Comments (1)I'll keep looking at this but at first glance if you are ok getting rid of the bathroom, it would make sense to incorporate into bedroom 2. I would make it smaller (does it need a bath?) And I would enlarge the hot press to allow for more storage of bed linen etc. For bedrooms 3 and 4 it seems hard to fit in an ensuite for b4 without impinging on b3. So my suggestion would be to take space off bedroom 3 and do a small ensuite along the wall where they meet. I know this makes both smaller but by taking the door of b out to the end of the stairs you could move the door of the ensuite to the wall where the sink currently is and that might give more space in the bedroom but it does look tight for a double!...See MoreOpen Plan Kitchen & Living Area Advice Please...
Comments (4)A few things I would change from experience...instead of a single and double door I would spend the extra money and put in a bifold corner section...would open up the space so much more. as for the kitchen...completely flip your design...put your breakfast bar closer to the window...make it large and multipurpose with the hob in it and then put your main band of cabinets either left, right or behind? We have recently restructured our existing cabinets to this layout and put in new countertops and it works far better than before!...See MoreKitchen for new build
Comments (0)Hoping to get some advice for a new kitchen. It is an open plan kitchen / dinning area. Not worried about dimensions for now but would like advice on positioning of oven, fridge, hob & DW ? Sink is underneath a long window....See MorePaula Derleth DC
