Kitchen splashback advice
We have an open plan kitchen and are having real problems deciding on what kind of splashback we should have!
Because the kitchen is very much in our living room, we don't want it to look too clinical or 'inyourface', as would be the case with a lot of tiling or glass splashbacks.
Ideas include concrete (but it's not easy to find a company that will do such a small job), or perhaps a line or two of small 'bakelite' looking retroish tiles, maybe floated one level above actual worktop surface, rather than lying directly on top of it..
Any thoughts gratefully received!

7 years agoHave you considered using the same colour/material splash back as your countertops? Could finish the look very nicely. There is also a trend of using wooden flooring as a wall covering - perhaps adding a 'distressed' look would inject some personality and individual style into your kitchen? Photos enclosed. Have fun doing it.
