On the Houzz UK home page, all the stories have disappeared and now it says "Pallas's feed" with a grid of photos, no words, just a room name , eg 'Kitchen' -- yes, I can see it's a photo of a kitchen. Where are the articles and features?
Your new personalised homepage layout features Houzz stories as well however you may have to scroll down the page to see them as the feed is a mixture of Houzz stories and photos. Please see the screenshot.
When you log into your Houzz account, you will see a 'Customise your feed' link near to the top of the page. You can customise your feed by selecting which style of images you wish to see via this link.
Thanks for the tips; I stopped using the US site when it changed to this layout because:
I now need two extra clicks (Stories > Latest from Houzz) to find the general feed of stories or, on my 'home page', I have to scroll and search for the stories hidden between the photos.
If my 'personalised home page' shows mostly what I choose to see, how will I stumble across interesting ideas, decor etc that I would never have thought of, broaden my horizons, be exposed to new things?
Over-personalisation is a bubble of insulation from new ideas.
I will try to become accustomed, although this feels like a step backward.
You can select as many styles as you wish when you click the 'customise my profile' link. If you wish to find inspiration from other places however, why not select all styles? Then you never know what you might find! :)
I completely agree with you, inspiration is often found in the most unexpected of places so hopefully this will be a great way to discover new and exciting things. Let me know how you get on!
