Need help with my kitchen
Comments (16)I think this is a really nice kitchen - you've done a nice job. The only thing that is throwing it off are the two different floors in dining and kitchen area. I'd like to see the same flooring continued through both areas. I think you'll be very pleased with the difference it makes. Since you do not like the wood or the tile, perhaps a porcelain 12x24 tile would work for you. It's very durable, so you wouldn't have to worry about the Newfies scratching it and very easy to maintain. You'd could opt for one of the wood grains on the market or one made to simulate stone. I think a greyish color would work well....See MoreWhat coulor to paint the walls, back splash and furniture.
Comments (12)@Jayme Hobbs .. thanks a mil Jayme I had been looking at a light grey colour but was afraid it might end up looking just whitewashed but I love the wall paint in the pic. @eagledzines.. I've attached the closeup of the counter, will look into changing the handles just to give the cabinets a lift. @Dannielle Lyn... I was actually looking at glossy black tiles this afternoon and thinking seriously about them so that helped thanks...See MoreWhat to with this kitchen please help!!!!
Comments (6)I am afraid blur will be limiting. I like the idea of gray, then in bring in the blue with accents. I would remove the lone cabinet on the left. Is it possible for you to build a pantry? A place to store the freezer is my goal with that. Where is your refrigerator? Just trying to get the lay of the land. A pantry would not be any deeper than the cabinet already there and with a sliding door you free up lots of space. Build it the width you need to fit the freezer and then about a 12 -18inch wide shelf space for boxed items, cereal etc. Leave enough room to fit your refrigerator next to it...about 30 -32 inches is needed. It looks like you have nearly 7 feet to play with. I know this pic is a washer/dryer, but just to give you the feel....See Moreneed help with kitchen guys!!
Comments (3)Can you post some photos? It would be good to see the marble color and pattern in particular before brainstorming about the backsplash as you don't want anything busy if your marble has a fairly busy veining pattern. But even without a photo, one safe choice could be matching subway tiles to your cabinet color. This would make the brown marble counters stand out as the feature of the kitchen....See MorePaige Brasche
