We cannot have a wooden floor as we have underfloor heating. We are considering a wood effect tile throughout the downstairs of our house; hall, kitchen, living room and family room. Does anybody have experience with these? Do they look realistic? Would it be too much to have them throughout? Thanks
We have the wood look tile in our bathrooms, with under floor heat. I think they look nice and work great for the bathrooms. However, for your whole house you might want to think about the fact that they won't have the soft/warm feeling of real wood. They will sound like tile when people walk on them (loud footsteps when shoes are on), they are hard like tile, they are cold like tile (when the heat is off) and they will be echo-ey like tile.
