Hi there, is there a specific reason why there aren't many windows on this side of the house? I saw the other side and it was gorgeous, with a beautiful view. This is a very interesting design...

Because it
faces the road and other homes. The owner didn't want anybody looking in.

As you've got the Abbey Road sign, why not make it a music corner? Perhaps a Beatles inspired / Sixties monochrome scheme. You could get a musical notes design printed on an outdoor canvas for the wall, or a sail & hang over to create shade. Perhaps some instrument outlines on the wall. Planting could be black & white with pops of colour. A decorative white chair & outdoor rug would look inviting. Or you could even paint boards b&w stripes like the zebra crossing!

Totally agree with Coco Nuts. It's a beautiful fireplace and only painting the mantle shelf and placing a large mirror would give it a contemporary look.

So we're working on a project to install solar panels in our home. From talking with friends, not many of them actually have them installed in their homes. What do you think are the biggest obstacles to installing Solar Panels? P.S. I would be very happy to talk with anybody with solar panels already installed. House Exterior re looking - fountain

Hello everyone, Appreciate your support/advice on this one. Renovating to make more appealing and modern a section of my house outdoor where there used to be a waterfall. Planning to replace it with a new like fountain ( not sure if its the right word) but photo attached. Please advise how I can re design that space? Not interested in fish pond. Do note that the new fountain will keep using the same water in a cycle. Fountain purchased, to be places against the wall, but what about all the extra space? Not interested in fish pond.
