black and white wallpaper, what colour paint for living room??
Comments (2)I think that better colors would be gray (more or less light, depending on how large is your room) or white. Other colors that match with a mix of black and white would be strong colors as red or green, but I think they are too colorfully to pain living walls. In my opinion the best one is white, although it sounds banal, but it would emphasize your wallpaper and wouldn't condicionate the rest of the decoration....See MoreAny ideas for final touches to this living/dinning room?
Comments (51)Just a quick note to thank you all for sharing your thought, ideas, experience and time. I especially want to thank Bluenan and decoenthusiaste for being with me through the all process for the last 6 months or so..., just wanted to post few photos of the results (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/any-ideas-for-final-touches-to-this-living-dinning-room-dsvw-vd~569586) as I feel it is not only me who created this space but it is your creations as much as mine. It may not be perfect or according to the the "Rules", but it is Me and my family. Each and every piece was chosen by me in different parts of the world and each one of them has a unique story behind. I am very pleased with my space. I love it! I am very blessed. .... and so I am off to my new project now... Back to school.... that's really going to be hard ;) Thank you all, once again....See MoreLiving Room- Keep or Change Style?
Comments (8)Thanks both. At the moment I only have one couch which is the same colour as what is there currently, and a few different rugs in grey and beige colours. I might copy the mirror that is currently there and a similar lamp as I think they look well. Was thinking maybe a clear glass coffee table in the middle over a beige rug? I guess modern would be my preffered style but Im pretty open!...See MoreNeed help with TV placement and decor ideas for compact living room
Comments (2)I think the only place you could put a tv is probably the corner by the window...over the fireplace is probably too high. a walnut floor and new fresher paint colour would be lovely, would you consider painting the skirting boards and fireplace white or off white to modernise them a bit? we've painted the skirting in our living room (also a walnut floor) and it looks so much better than before. (Have yet to get around to the rest of the house!!)...See Moresppwmp
