Grey corner sofa

Hi,

We have ordered this corner sofa from Harvey Normans today for our new extension !
All weekend we have been worried about the colour as in will it last !
We have taking out the extra 5 year insurance against stains and that but my husband said today that he thinks we don't relax with it which is pointless I suppose !
We have 3 children and even though we will ban food from it.
He thinks we will be always on edge incase someone spills.
We can cover it with throw overs but again is this pointless as you won't see it !
We think we can cancel order in the morning! We both love it but is it for a house that is barely used !
Any advice please
We last bought a sofa 10 years ago in black leather so never had to worry !

Go for it! It looks beautiful! We have 3 children too and do not allow our kids with food and drinks near our sofa, which is grey too, but a little darker! So far so good, 6 years later! However, they have a playroom with their own sofa, but I just wipe stains regularly. You have to relax about it and accept that there might be stains, but with 3 kids, you can't avoid it. Fabric is so much more comfy than leather... You won't regret it!

I agree- if stain guarded it should be fine. You could also find a steam cleaning professional to give it a refresh every now and again

Hi---ok, so you have some different styles going on, but I think it could come together-just needs some balance with color, pattern, and a touch of whimsy... :) The wallpaper (w/owl) is a good color to incorporate into the space-works well with the sectional, dining table, and floor. The art pulls the color palette together, is contemporary with organic/circular shapes---relates to both the sectional and table designs. Pillows-masculine and feminine balanced-color palette repeated. Check BM's Seattle Mist and Brushed Aluminum for wall color. Hope this is helpful. Hi - I’m looking for any advice on decorating the corner behind/above my TV. I have some pieces there now to just fill up the space but they aren’t my favorite and they don’t seem to flow. Hi there. If you haven't already - why don't you take a look at Guardsman protection - http://www.guardsman.co.uk/en/furniture_protection_plans/fabric_protection_plans.html

They will come out and clean up any spillages as many times as you like during the 5 year period and I've found them to be really helpful. (I know of one woman who called about once a month as she let her pets on the sofa!!)

I'd say go for it - its a lovely style and so much more comfortable than leather.

Hi thanks for all the replies , we have done the extra insurance and they clean stains etc if we can't remove .
My husband thinks with the lighter colour we will never relax .
The problem is with the darker colour we can't see a picture of the sofa in this colour they just gave a book of fabrics .
Don't want to buy one we haven't seen properly when we asked could we see a picture of it in darker shade they didn't have one !

I know you aren't buying from Sofa.com but their website is really good as you can play around and see what different fabrics look like on their various styles of sofa. I've found a sofa that is a little similar to yours, so you can kind of get the idea of what it would look like in a different shade. If you were to cancel the order with Harvey Normans, sofa.com lets you return sofas if you don't like them! I've always found them to be really good.
