POLL: Wall murals - yay or nay?

One of the most common design dilemmas I see here on Houzz is what to do with a blank/feature wall, and one solution amongst others is to get a wall mural.

But what do you think of this as a feature - bright and beautiful or just a little too out there for you? Vote away and tell us your thoughts!

    Yes! We love wall murals!! Whilst the one pictured is beautiful, you can be as bold or as subtle as you like with murals. Completely bespoke, murals can completely pull a design scheme together.

      As a decorator we find that murals are a very personal feature,may become outdated in a short period of time and not to everyone taste.Often a quality distinctive paper may have as much effect and provide better value.

      love them if they cover a whole wall!!!

      but I like landscapes and geometric patterns better than drawings... my brother had a tropical island one alongside his self-built 2m tall high sleeper and painted white board floor- and I was well jealous!!!

      and bright patterns can make a room a lot more interesting as well

      somehow they look best in bedrooms...???

      This wall mural looks like it's for a kids room or space for a child to play/draw. If that's right, then the mural is very appropriate for the bright energetic feel it creates with its presence.

      Murals are one of my favourite formats of expressing bespoke art, because that's what they are, big, bold, in your face expressions of something personal to you!

      Bespoke artwork is what we specialise in, so maybe I can encourage you to have a look at our BESPOKE DESIGNS projects and website just to see other inspirational ideas.

      A great way to add zing to a space! Best complimented with flat coloured walls (i.e., without pattern!) let your design speak for itself!
