Has any one had experience with the new leather flooring in their home?

I am building a new home and it has been suggested I go with a new product "Leather Flooring" made by a company call Torlys Smart Floors in Canada. I would like to know if any of the other readers have had it and their thoughts, please

I haven't but they look interesting. Wanted to post to get updates on what others say. Certainly is beautiful and different.

We've been manufacturing leather floors for over a decade - and share with you commercial floors which have been installed for 6-7 years and perform well. Our floors are designed to perform ! See attached picture for reference or visit

Hi guys, Leelee we are definitely doing the vintage bits on the wall. We actually have some vintage cereal boxes that we are planning on displaying on the shelves (filled with cereal of course)!. Sarainitaly - I'm investigating thenIkea planner but it's painful to work (or maybe it's just me!). Here's a pic of the walls totally painted green now. Think the shelves will look great along with some pictures dotted around. It's the cabinets now that will b a pain! BTW it was pure enthusiasm that stopped me waiting until the water heater came off the wall to paint - lol. I will have to paint the patch when it's off.

Hi Lisa, nice sofa. I had a red sofa for 10 years and loved it ( though mine was fabric) I've changed the kitchen/ living room and it stuck out like a sore thumb. I gave in and put in a grey leather sectional one and I must say it's much easier to decorate around. Are you in Ireland? Have you heard of the 1933 company, they have very nice suites. Red makes a big statement! Just my 2 cents worth, good luck!

not alot happening at the moment, its winter! alotta rain, lotta. but i am bedding down to get this over with and maybe in the spring the spirits will rise once more. i hope so. i would love to feel i was doing something to keep my hopes and dreams alive, i dont see what i can do until the spring. when i bring the topic up, especially to those that moved away and came down this neck of the woods, they say they had friends who felt it was too far too and moved back home. i guess thats how i feel, thats what i want and i just want to be a bit more uplifted, i think rain dampens down things a bit!!! santa Ma Margaret!

Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. Leather is the ELITE of the ELITE floors. It is beautiful, delicate and can be ruined using the wrong cleaning materials. If someone suggested leather flooring (Torlys is primarily cork but they have successfully branched out into the more exotic floors - with exotic price tags) then you have a bank account AND a lifestyle to suite the floor.

Be prepared for cautious living and expensive/extensive cleaning regimes. Have fun. This thing should come with a maid service. This is an "adults in socks" type of floor.
