Of course this is a custom color as well as the chairs were from a designers showroom source with a custom finish and fabric

Though I like aubergine, I would keep your upholstery colors neutral and select rugs, art, and accessories to add the color. Using aubergine will lock you into that color scheme for many years. If it's absolutely your favorite color, then go for it. Otherwise, stay neutral.

Perhaps a very light sand around the edges and a stain blocker before trying another coat? I wish bloggers and designers would stop showing themselves painting swatches directly on to the wall. As you see they can telegraph through the final coats; sometimes it’s not the colour as much as the slightly raised edges of the sample patch. Good Luck with it. 🌈

This is a renovation of a stairwell, hallway and landing we did recently. As you can see, we also created bespoke paneling for the client and the space itself is quite similar to yours. Hello, I am moving to a new house near Guildford and will be re painting the whole house in neutral colours with off white woodwork and having carpet upstairs, but really don't want to have the stress and mess of removing the bathroom wall and floor tiles. I am trying to think of how I can keep the cottage/country/traditional feel with a modern twist, without removing the tiles. I will paint the door an off white. I do like wooden wall panels half way but wondering whether the blue tiles are worth keeping or what else I could do with the white tiles on the window wall and floor tiles which I dont like at all. I will change the sink to a vanity sink and toilet. Any help and ideas on what can be done without removing the tiles or what colours etc would look good would be appreciated! Photo attached. Thank you!
