hall and stairs - Different shades of white
Comments (7)I think I made a mistake- I have painted the railing and trim of the stairs in brilliant white - high gloss while doors to dining/living room in eggshell off-white (color grand - almost white). A runner will go up the stairs... (the runner is off white - beige color). Is there a way or would you recommend to change the color of the stairs and trim and dado rail to same color as dining/living room doors and trim around them?...See MorePaint for woodwork
Comments (6)Agree hardwick on the trim would be nice but was hoping to add something unusual or unexpected to the kitchen! A bit of drama, it's open plan and leads into a lounge area. Was thinking of downpipe for the chimney breast and hardwick white on the walls in that room to tie the two rooms together. Not feeling confident enough about my decisions though!!...See MoreHelp me choose a bed for guest room
Comments (30)Melissa, when I said footboard, I meant this. It has a portion of the bed that extends beyond the mattress edge. You posted a bed that had something at the foot section of the bed. By platform, I mean a bed that has a hard area and only a mattress on it. Like this. It does not extend beyond the edge of the mattress, but does not have a box spring. It is also lower to the ground. The picture you posted was a high profile bed and box spring. It was not on a typical bed frame. A standard bed frame, used with box spring and mattress looks like this. Virtually invisible and does not extend out beyond the mattress/box spring set. That being said, I'd recommend you get a headboard that is not too big for your space. Neither in height or depth (distance from the wall). I would also not get a mattress frame that extends beyond the size of the mattress. Sorry to have not been clear before....See MoreExterior paint
Comments (8)I agree with Najeebah re pics. Sometimes some styles of house may not always suit certain colours, I know mine doesn't!...See MoreKristina Eckert - EvolveDesignBuild
