Interior Material Clash?

Opinions please on any budding interior designers!!
We have decided to go with a nordic style pale oak kitchen, white terrazzo floor with a mother of pearl inlay which will butt up against an oak floor.
Have paid deposit on a Patagonia Quartzite countertops and island... Pics of all materials attached.
Other half is now panicking that the terrazzo flooring will clash with the Quartzite and is saying we should go for a grey terrazzo rather than the white...

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I'm going to shove the expense and go for full shelves as I will be renting. Cut costs by using mdf sadly alot of messes happen coz I can't be there and have no van to buy materials myself. My wardrobe doors turned out messed up as had a circular route instead of straight lines so they're new but dated. I can't afford it but I'll definitely put up a few eccentric ideas on how to hide it and will look forward to the feedback from that! Thanks

Add a great large low profile cutting board, and by large I mean really large. Maybe even 2nd smaller one in a contrasting wood color and grain ie large one end grain and smaller skinny long one cross grain one. Even add a chrome or silver 3 layer tray thingy for fruits to be at hand but in a nice display vs a simple bowl. Get some some enamel bowls with color and use them through the counter and island. Either all same color or in the same family of colours, I'd cut out the panels in the doors by the cooktop and put in either bubbled glass or mesh and interior light them. Maybe one of the door one by the wall ovens, paint it out in caulk board paint or use some HDF thin board as an inset and have it as interesting feature to breakup that wall of cabinetry.

Hi. I think the overall look is good. Large tiles do make a room feel bigger as the pattern is less busy however I've seen the hex tiles in small bathrooms and they seem to work as your inspiration pic shows. I would probably lose the flowers though if I'm honest. Do you want the window for light or ventilation? Could a decent extractor be sufficient? I'm thinking that back ŵall could look quite busy. Is there any opportunity to change the layout? Moving soil pipes can be a little costly but could the sink be moved although ideally the loo would be hidden round the corner. You can pick up some great looking vintage or vintage style taps on ebay although unsure if the quality of the repro ones, If the layout can't be changed maybe have a corner loo and ŵall hung trough sink and put some storage in on the rhs as you come through the door depending on how you plan for the shower to open

Hello trifides, What about chrome? Good at reflecting light.. A dual fuel Smeg range for example... A Dualit chrome toaster.. Architect kettle also Dualit.. Shiny elements will really pick up the light.. With the cabinets and the flooring, consider textures and warm elements to boost the look.. I think chrome is a good addition.. as both red and orange might clash with the flooring and cabinets in the colour and finish you have.. Think of other textures and materials you can introduce ...Chopping boards are lovely stacked and marble is another lovely material to use.. Pestle and mortar and a cheese board (I use mine for toast etc.... (Anthropologie and Habitat.. Maybe you want a cream Smeg retro style fridge.... You could then have some cream tiles or a creamy coloured granite for a splash back.. Then maybe a cream Aga... If you were replacing the worktop.. I'd suggest having an upstand as I love this sleek finish.. You can add the same material behind the oven to compliment.. Keep the worktop as clear as possible and a potted rosemary or two could be lovely... Of course the other thing I could suggest is painting the cabinets should you want to consider that as an option for you.. : ))
