Recommend Wall Art

I bought a table from Weilai Concept online shop. I'm very pleased with the table, they have good quality and it's really something I didn't expect. What style of artwork should I hang on the wall?

I would say it depends on the the style of the room as well. But I am a fan abstract wabi sabi art to match the japandi style of your table.

Hi Rayleign, The table looks lovely, great to hear it is good quality. As the previous comment mentions it is important to consider the overall style of the room. Art can help tie everything together so well. One tip we love is to hang your art so the centre of it sits approximately at your eye level. This will prevent you hanging it too high on the wall.

Wow, I really like this design and the rest of the house....really has a lovely flow to it and is very bright. My only concern with opening up the original living room to the hallway would be that the existing house is poorly insulated and would leave the front room cold during the winter. I imagine the existing front room as a dynamic room in that the doors to the dining room can be closed, a stove fire turned on and it would be a quiet reading/relaxing zone in the house. Though I must admit...the above example provided is really tempting. thanks Dytecture!

Look for a local art hanger. Most galleries can refer you to one or Google it. Some designers do this too. A professional hanger will have the best solution. I always use a professional to hang special pieces or collector value art. The service is not particularly expensive and so worth it. Saves on holes in the wall too!

You really don't have any color scheme going on in here. I do see a gold range so I worked around that. Here are some ideas of colors you could add . I'm not crazy about accent walls, but you do need to add color to at least one of your walls - be it intense or even just a tint of color: Sherwin Williams Jetstream Sherwin Williams Sprout Sherwin Williams Composed I also added in a white or off white (or you could do color) back splash over your stove and counters. Once you have some color then you can add window dressings. I suggest roman shades, which you can get in many patterns and colors. Then find some art work that compliments your new colors - check on art.com, Overstock.com or Wayfair.com.

Instead of doing something like a paint color, why not expand into doing something a little more bold and daring like wood planking or grass cloth, etc.? This will not only help accent your "neutral," kitchen wall color, but will also allow you to continue flow throughout the space and give you a more well rounded and grounded space. I would heavily consider doing something that adds not only texture but depth to the space, paint color is great, but accent walls are a thing of the past! Give your kitchen the POP it deserves and your space will be transformed.
