Mentos Interiors

We remodeled our master bedroom and bathroom, in addition to putting in new window treatments in our living room. Monica McAllister of Mentos Interiors worked in tandem with our contractor throughout the project and did a superb job of pulling everything together. We are delighted with our new master bedroom and bathroom and owe her our gratitude for helping us create our new dream space.

Monica from Mentos Interiors by far the most professional, personable and helpful designer around. Her plans and ideas show considerable thought and talent. My son and I bought a condo together which needed extensive remodeling and she held both of our hands throughout the entire process. In addition, her plans were done so well that the city was able to use them and we did not need to hire an architect. She went above and beyond by talking to the city officials and confidently answering any questions they had. Every part of the plans she drew up passed all the city's compliance codes. We were so pleased with Monica's work that we continue to recommend her to our friends and family and keep using her for all our design needs. She is absolutely terrific with choosing the perfect color and taking into consideration your budget and your personal preferences.

Monica was such a pleasure to have help me with my bathroom, bedroom and study remodel. She was always pleasant and I always appreciated her honesty and directness. She understood my taste and implemented it well.

Monica has been such a great help in designing and furnishing our home. She provided us with a binder of ideas as we had several rooms to furnish. I refer back to the information on a regular basis and every time find additional details in the plans that show she really has thought through the ideas and considering all. Monica was a talented designer and was also a very pleasant person to work with. She listened to her clients, was patient, and was detail oriented. She helped us choose wall colors and styles, floors, tiles, counter tops and much more. We love the foyer floor tile and design very much, and we are very thankful for her help!

Mentos and Monica provided exceptional service and creativity in the redesign of our home. We purchased our home and the design was severly outdated- think bad wallpaper, poor color schemes, and lacking a very modern touch. Monica was able to see around these obstacles and said "The house has great bones" and went to work. She provided a wonderful recommendation on paint colors for the entire house and took in the input of what my wife and I wanted. Monica also provided recommendations on a few different furniture and mirror ideas which really made a few of the rooms pop. She was able to work within our budget and provided recommendations for the next phase of our home design. Monica consistently followed up and made us feel like "family" during the entire process. I give her my highest recommendation for home design!!

We first met Monica back in 2012 when we were selling our home. She provided us with excellent advice on decluttering, decorating and choice of accent paint colors to enhance our home. I loved the suggestions and changes she made and as a result our home sold in less than a day and substantially over the asking price. Since moving into our new home Monica has helped us on numerous projects, including drapery, lighting, paint colors, and redecoration of both our dining and guest rooms. I love the results! Monica's keen eye for color makes each room pop as you enter. She is not only fabulous at Interior design, she is super organized and reliable, and most importantly, wonderful to work with!

We have worked with Monica for the past 8 years. The most recent project was to build an "at-home" office. She is very professional, listens to our requests and comes up with great ideas and colors that we would never think about on our own. She brings in high quality sub-contractors and the finished product is beautiful!

We live in a three story townhouse,with the middle level housing the living area, dining and kitchen. We needed help with the furniture placement and the colors on the wall. In our first meeting Monica discussed about what we expected in terms of functionality from the rooms and also the look we were going for. She was pleasant, professional and easy to work with. She presented us with a very put together binder of the ideas and options she had. Its so easy for us now to walk into the store looking for the exact furniture. Even the customer service at the stores were impressed. We would gladly work with her when we work on the other levels of the house.

I joke that Monica is part marriage counselor. My husband and I have totally different tastes when it comes to interior decorating; as a result we had put off doing anything for years. Monica came in and did a complete color analysis of our house. She was always on time for our meetings, focused and delivered a detailed portfolio with a room by room analysis of colors we should use. My husband and I both love her recommendations and we are finally getting rid of all the beige!

We had purchased a home in Huntington Beach and had hired a contractor to do some renovations. We were in way over our heads and definitely needed some expert advice. I contacted Monica and we met at our home to walk thru the renovations taking place. She was able to grasp my color scheme and translate it into a color palette that gave our home a very warm and open feel. All the rooms flow together beautifully and yet each room is uniquely individual. We were thrilled with the professional portfolio she put together. She helped us stay on our move-in time schedule and was always responsive to any question or idea we may have. As we move into the next phase of decorating, Monica will be the first person we will contact to get started. Monica has a very positive attitude and enthusiastic style that makes her fun to work with. We would unequivocally recommend her for any interior design project you may have.
