Lotus Landscape Design
We designed this simple front garden and removed existing cobble lock paving. We reset granite step , sourced and retiled the entrance area reusing rope terrocota edging.

Photo taken at completion. Straight clean lines were used for paths to create a sense of more space than there actually is. Old photo's and evidence when you excavate shows that shell was for many years the hard surface around the property.
The bricks used for the path edging are from the original chimneys that had to be replaced.

A new entry path featuring black and white chequered tiles strikes the balance between a heritage and contemporary aesthetic.
Sweeping gravel areas extend to the back patio area where clipped native plantings punctuate the entertaining space.
Sculptural forms such as a raised water fountain, large pots, spiral topiary and stone spheres offset the delicate plantings.

The completed garden view toward the house, the bullnose brick perimeter were bricks left from the front steps being renovated so they match perfectly.

This is the second project designed and executed for this client. They wanted a colorful water wise landscape that would be low maintenance. Designer had to replace the crumbling retaining wall and build new steps and a walk way. Many colorful, water wise plants were used.
