Luxury For The Home
An elegant and cheerful modern nursery lulls daughter to sleep every night - photo by Miro Dvorsak
Elza B. Design, Inc.
I designed a sophisticated, soothing room for a little girl. The goal was to make it whimsical enough but not so cute she could not grow into it. Notice the use of plants, animals and landscapes as a tool to create a peaceful environment. Large oil paintings evoke dreamy landscapes, the acanthus plant stripe of the grass cloth wallpaper makes one feel surrounded and safe. Birds, elephants and butterflies are part of the magical decor. Lots of texture and patterns create interest. Finally, old is blended with new (antique bird illustrations, old pine chest, modern crib, etc) to create an eclectic and inviting interior.

A lovely bedroom for fun sleepovers for years to come! Soft purplish gray wall tone, neutral flooring, white dresser, and crib converts to single bed, room darkening shades for naps or sleeping in, and sophisticated fandelier. Inexpensive area rug and drapery panels can be updated as the child grows.

We love this crib with the upholstery on the sides, so luxurious. The details on the crib are adorable and enhanced with the bedding. Very neutral and tailored, quilted bedskirt with a pink band at the bottom, striped fitted sheet and the little pink bow and welting at the bumper. The art above brings the whole room together with the colors and organic prints.
Needless to say, its a convertible crib in gray upholstery, if and when a baby boy should join the family.
Our choices for furniture has clean lines that are modern and masculine with white washed wood finish giving it that hint of classic detail. Color palette wise, we made the nursery neutral with blush accents to make it girly.

We started this design with a clean slate of high ceilings and white walls which was perfect for installing floral wallpaper on an accent wall. The wallpaper is removable and features an oversized floral pattern in soft blush and light pink tones, and the leaves a soft sage green. The gorgeous crib and dresser both from Newport Cottages has gold and acrylic hardware and were the centerpiece of the design. We added gold and blush decor and accents throughout the space the match the furniture. The client had her heart set on a blush glider. Looking through custom fabrics from Best Home Furnishing we found the perfect shade. With delicate tufted back the gilder is really stands out. The gold framed large family photos really makes a big impact in the space. The off white velvet blackout curtains have a luxurious feel and paired the golden curtain it fits the space perfectly.

Curated Nest
This nursery began in an empty white-box room with incredible natural light, the challenge being to give it warmth and add multi-functionality. Through floral motifs and hints of gold, we created a boho glam room perfect for a little girl. We played with texture to give depth to the soft color palette. The upholstered crib is convertible to a toddler bed, and the daybed can serve as a twin bed, offering a nursery that can grow with baby. The changing table doubles as a dresser, while the hanging canopy play area serves as a perfect play and reading nook.

Beautiful baby girl nursery that has a bit of being glam, shabby chic rustic with just a touch of bling. Walls are gray with white trim. Lighting includes a chandelier with sparkle. Furniture includes a changing table, crib, rocking chair and pillow. Walls are decorated with a large abstract painting, shelves and other decorative accessories. Gray hardwood flooring is accented by an area rug. Colors throughout are gray, pink, white, cream, gold.

Lovely butterfly fabric for the sheer romans and princess canopy linings, comfortable swivel rockers and a daybed for Mom to rest on those difficult nights. All the fabrics are stain resistant and washable as are the draperies. Theme of Angels, fairis and butterflies. the Butterfly symbolizes new life.
