Penarth refurbishment

We love rejuvenating derelict properties. This mid terrace town centre house had been empty for several years and neglected since the 1960′s so a complete strip back to the shell was required. We removed the chimney to open the space from the hallway rear garden, demolished a box extension and inserted a Bi-Fold door. The property had 6 bedrooms across 3 storeys with only 1 bathroom and separate WC so we opened up the 2 rooms to create a master bathroom and utilised the box bedroom as an en-suite for the master bedroom. The joinery throughout the house was beyond restoration with exception of the staircase so we produced a 9″ skirting detail that flows seamlessly around the property. The kitchen and bathrooms are classic Project One design with a few of our signature features. The decoration and palette is designed to flow seamlessly with all surfaces having one colour to reduce separation lines between walls and joinery giving a relaxed easy space to live in. The gardens had simple makeovers while the windows were replaced with Sash units.
