O'Clery House
Awarded an Australian Institute of Architects Commendation for Sustainable Architecture, this solar passive designed house, responding to the Australian ‘bush shed’ aesthetic, is completely self-sufficient for all services. Careful detailing using Australian hardwoods nevertheless contributed to the Awards Jury citation, which noted that “this house importantly demonstrates that environmentally sustainable design can be achieved while still providing a contemporary and appealing outcome.”
