For added privacy when needed the sliding doors on the East side of the space were equipped with motorized shades. The floor in the room is heated concrete with a decorative overlay to lighten the color and also provide a non slip surface for swimmers.

Indoor Swimming Pool built for a client in Fairfax, Virginia during pre-construction of their new house. We had to work hand and hand with the builder to make sure that this project turned out with the style and appearance that the client was looking for. Wall to wall windows, a custom ventilation system to make sure that the room stays mold free, custom drop down tv screen for movies, sports, and entertaining. The patio and coping is a walnut travertine. This entire space comes equipped with a sauna, indoor full kitchen, and full bathroom.

Do new indoor or outdoor swimming pools increase the value of homes?

Outdoor or indoor swimming pools can significantly impact property value by attracting buyers with bigger budgets who are looking for a little luxury in their home. However, installing a large midcentury swimming pool could also negatively impact the value of your house if there isn’t enough space left in your garden for anything else. What material should I use for spas or hot tubs?

For a hot tub to survive the changing seasons it is important to choose a material that will be durable. Cedar or other wooden hot tubs can look attractive, but will be harder to maintain. The most popular material is often vinyl for its affordability and versatility but this material is also less likely to last. To get the best bang for your buck, we would recommend opting for a concrete or a fibreglass hot tub or spa, which would provide you with a sturdy solution. In addition, metal above ground hot tubs can be a durable option.
